The Spring School "Secure Communications and Computation" will take place on May 16th, at the Instituto de Telecomunicações (IT), in Aveiro, in the University of Aveiro Campus. The event is developed within the scope of the PTQCI project – Portuguese Quantum Communications Infrastructure.
The initiative was developed to train university students and young professionals, providing learning about quantum technologies. The event aims to bring together important players in the field of quantum communications to discuss everything from fundamental concepts to applications in technologies and cybersecurity.
The main objective of the PTQCI consortium is to develop and implement quantum communications infrastructure in Portugal, within the scope of EuroQCI – European Quantum Communications Network – an initiative that will seek to establish quantum secure communications across Europe in the coming years.
The consortium is composed of universities and research centers such as the IT, ISEL, and IST, national entities such as GNS, IPQ, and FCCN, industrial entities such as Deimos, Adyta, Omnidea, and Warpcom, and telecommunications companies such as IP Telecom and Altice Labs.
