A cookie is a small text file that a website stores on your computer or mobile device when you visit it. Cookies let a site remember things such as your session or the choices you have made. Some websites also use similar technologies, such as local storage, which works in much the same way. This policy covers both.
On this website, only the cookies listed under Strictly necessary cookies are set automatically, because without them the site cannot work. Everything else – analytics and video – is set only after you agree. If you have not made a choice, or if you refused, none of those cookies are placed on your device and the scripts that would set them are never loaded.
You can change your mind at any time, and withdrawing is as easy as agreeing. Your choice is stored for 12 months, after which we ask again. We also ask again whenever the list of cookies below changes.
We do not keep any record of your choice on our servers: it is stored only in your own browser,
in the it_cookie_consent cookie described below. You can also
block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the site may then stop
working correctly.
Needed for the website to work: they keep your session and remember the cookie choices you make here. They cannot be switched off.

Some news items and thesis pitches include a video hosted by YouTube. So that YouTube cannot
set anything without your agreement, we do not load the player straight away: you see a
placeholder and the video is only fetched when you choose to play it. We also load those videos
from YouTube's no-cookie domain (youtube-nocookie.com), which reduces what YouTube
stores even after you play them.
For information about how Instituto de Telecomunicações handles personal data more generally, please see our Privacy Policy.
We use cookies that are strictly necessary for this website to work. We would also like to use analytics cookies to understand how the site is used, and video cookies when you choose to play a video hosted by YouTube. These are only set if you agree.
You can change or withdraw your choice at any time. See our Cookie Policy for the full list of cookies, what each one does and how long it lasts.
Choose which categories you allow. Analytics and video cookies are off unless you switch them on. Full details are in our Cookie Policy.
