IT Location
The Lisbon site of IT is located at the Campus of Instituto Superior Técnico (the Engineering School of the Technical University of Lisbon), at Alameda D. Afonso Henriques. IT premises are located on the 9th, 10th and 11th floors of Torre Norte.
Getting to the IT-IST area
From the Airport
Lisbon Airport is located about 5 km to the North of the IST area. You may use either the Airport bus or Taxi.
Aerobus: Take the Bus at the sidewalk outside the Arrivals Wing (Bus 91), and exit the bus at the "Av. da República" bus stop. Aerobus runs approximately every 20 minutes from 7a.m. to 9p.m.
Cost is approximately 3 Euro, and travel time is 20-40 minutes depending on street traffic. It takes about 10 minutes walk from the bus stop to IST (see map).
Taxi: Cost is around 6-10 Euro (depending on the day time, and if luggage boot is used). Travel time is 15-30 min depending on the traffic. Hint: take the taxi outside the Airport Departure wing (instead of taking it at the Arrivals, where taxis line up for long rides).
From other locations
Subway: the closest subway stations are ALAMEDA (5 minutes walk), or SALDANHA (10 minutes walk).
Bus: several lines pass near IST (16, 18, 20, 22, 26, 33, 42). If more specific information is required please contact the secretariat from IT-Lisbon.
