Research Position - 1 BPD - Non volatile polymer memories for flexible electronics (NOVO)”, PTDC/CTM-NAN/116931/2010
| Summary |
A research position is opened at Instituto de Telecomunicações, Organic Electronics Group, within the project “Non volatile polymer memories for flexible electronics (NOVO)”, PTDC/CTM-NAN/116931/2010. The grant (1495,00 €/month), paid according to FCT rules, will be six months long, with the possibility of being extended up to a maximum of further 24 months. |
| Profile |
The work to be developed will be focused on the synthesis and photophysical characterization of conjugated polymers and their application in non volatile memories upon combination with ferroelectric polymers. The photophysical properties of blends combining conjugated polymers and ferroelectric polymers will be assessed in order to obtain insights into the effect of polarization.
Requirement: Candidates should have a PhD degree in Materials Engineering or in Chemical Engineering.
|
| Admission procedures |
The applications fulfilling the above mentioned requirement will be evaluated taking into consideration:
i) the number of publications indexed at the ISI WoK (score: 0-10) (weight 30%);
ii) affinity between the PhD thesis and the tasks to be developed in this project (score: 0-10) (weight 40%); and,
iii) previous experience on synthesis and photophysical characterization (steady state and with time resolution) of organic conjugated materials (score: 0-10) (weight 30%).
Should there be a tie at the top scored candidates, they will be called for an interview to make the final selection.
The curriculum vitae, PhD Certificate and an abstract of the PhD thesis should be sent, via e-mail, to jmorgado@lx.it.pt.
The deadline for applications is May 30th , 2012. |
